Dear Mr. Scoble,

I am so excited to inform you that our class won the BC Mining Class of the Year 2003!!! I got a perfect score in my research project and it's because you have been so kind by letting me interview you. All our individual work is now on display at the Britannia Museum and it will be displayed in different mining institutions in BC for the whole school year of 2003-2004. Our class won the prize of $1,000.00 and that money will be used to fund the Grade 5's (of next year) science activities. The Grade 5 (of this year which is us) got ice creams and some treats for winning the award.

My mom was hoping to get the display board of the project I made so she could take a picture of it to send to you. But since my work is on display somewhere for a while, I would not be able to send you a picture soon. I will try to get a schedule of where they will be displayed so I can give you the schedule. Maybe you can go and look at my project when you have time. I have some photos of you in my project display.

Our class also won the Sky Watchers of the Year award. Each of us in Grade 5 take note of the weather for the day (precipitation, rain level, temperature, wind factor, etc, etc, etc) everyday for the whole year. And because of this, Shaw Cable will do a feature on us this week. I don't know when they will show it on TV.

Thank you again for all you help.
