2006 Mining Maze Robot Competition

Rules and Results - 2006 Maze Competition

The 2006 Annual Mining Robot Maze Competition was a great success. All 12 teams did extremely well in preparing their robots to navigate through an unknown maze (competitors were shown the maze 1 hour before the start of the competition). This year's route was prepared by Sepehr Sadrai, TA in MINE 432, and included line breaks, obstacles, dead ends, fish-tail lines, and an interesting 4-way intersection. The winners were Mike Kozak and Gordon Chen with their robot Kozak's Nemesis, followed very closely behind in second place by Adam Miller and Ruby Yan with their robot named Elisha. Third place went to Wayne Dang and Dustin Smiley with J.J.

The link above contains a file listing all the rules and results of this year's event, while below are videos of each team's two test runs with appropriate music to accompany the efforts.
