Advisory
Committee |
The Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering benefits from a close interaction with a committee made up of representatives from the mining industry. The mandate of the Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC) is to work with the Institute to provide the mining industry with highly skilled engineers. |
| |
|
The IAC meets three times a year to address various concerns and provide input for ongoing initiatives. Typically, the agenda for each of these day-long meetings includes close interaction with students and faculty as well as a discussion of current issues and concerns.
|
|
The mandate of the IAC is to:
- be willing to share challenges
- provide advice and assistance to overcome those challenges
- help to develop sound planning to meet our objectives
- stand beside the Institute in developing credibility and influence.
